The need to retain and recruit the talents of older workers has never received so much coverage. But we need more than just headlines and vague promises to fix the systemic issues preventing this from happening argues Tim Whitaker a Wise Age Trustee. 

Wise Age presented evidence to the Greater London Authority Assembly Economy Committee calling for a London wide strategy for older workers and for the Mayor to commit to an age friendly workplace campaign and do more to combat ageism which hinders older workers getting jobs.
