The Mayor of London has launched a new Cost of Living Hub for Londoners facing financial hardship, as a result of spiralling inflation, increases in National Insurance and Council Tax, and the lifting of the energy price cap. The hub helps Londoners access information, support and advice about claiming benefits, dealing with debt, financial management and mental health support.

It includes a wide range of information about claiming benefits, help dealing with debt, financial management and mental health support. It’s launched today to coincide with the lifting of the energy price cap, which means that many Londoners will see an overnight 54% increase in their energy bills. Combined with increases in tax and National Insurance, as well as the impact of rising inflation, this April will mark the beginning of an even tougher period for many.
